Thank you for trusting us with your extensions. Follow these tips to help keep them looking beautiful and feeling comfortable for as long as possible.

Wash with care
Apply shampoo mainly to your scalp and roots. Use conditioner or treatment from the mid-lengths to the ends, and avoid applying it directly to the attachment points.

Dry completely
After washing, make sure your hair is 100% dry, especially around the attachment points. We recommend using a blow dryer rather than letting your hair air-dry.

Brush gently
Brush regularly with an extension or wig brush, or gently separate your hair with your fingers to help prevent tangling and matting.

Keep the ends moisturized
Apply conditioner, treatment, or hair oil generously to the mid-lengths and ends to help keep the hair soft and manageable.

Protect the attachment points
Avoid applying hot tools directly to the attachment points.

Braid before bed
Before sleeping, loosely braid your hair into one or two braids to help prevent tangling overnight.

Take extra care when swimming
Before entering a pool or the ocean, secure your hair in one or two braids. Avoid swimming with your hair loose, as this can cause tangling. Salt water may cause especially severe tangling, so extra care is recommended at the beach.

Follow your retouch schedule
Extensions are generally recommended to be removed or retouched every 2–3 months, depending on your natural hair, growth, and overall condition. If your natural hair is thin or fine, we recommend not keeping the extensions in for longer than about 2 months.

Extensions may be reused
With proper care, the same extension hair may be reused multiple times and can last up to approximately one year, depending on its condition.

Shedding after removal is normal
When extensions are removed, it may look like a large amount of natural hair has come out. In many cases, this is normal daily shedding that was held in place by the extensions instead of falling away naturally.

Temporary tightness may occur
Some pulling, tightness, or mild discomfort may be felt after installation. This usually improves within about 2–3 days.
* Clients are responsible for following the recommended home-care instructions and retouch schedule. Tangling or matting caused by inadequate care, and scalp irritation related to overdue retouch appointments, are the client’s responsibility. Additional service fees may apply.

01What makes the Reborn technique different?+
Each small section is individually braided and secured with a precise knotting method. The result is a natural, lightweight blend without glue.
02Can I get extensions if I have thin or fine hair?+
Yes, depending on the condition of your natural hair.
With fine or thin hair, it’s especially important to avoid attaching too much weight. We carefully adjust the amount, weight, and placement of the extensions to create a comfortable, natural-looking result.
03Can hair extensions cause hair loss?+
More is not always better. The amount and weight of the extensions should be carefully matched to your natural hair.
Before your appointment, we consider your hair’s thickness, density, and scalp condition. Depending on your natural hair, we may recommend more frequent maintenance.
Regular maintenance and proper at-home care can help minimize unnecessary stress on your natural hair.
If you’re experiencing active hair loss, sudden excessive shedding, or scalp pain, we recommend consulting a medical professional before getting extensions.
04Do hair extensions hurt?+
Some initial awareness or mild tightness around the attachment areas can happen as your scalp adjusts over the first few days, and occasionally up to about a week.
Pain shouldn’t be ignored. If an area feels painful or too tight, please contact us so we can check the extensions and adjust them if needed.
05Why does it look like a lot of hair comes out when extensions are removed?+
It’s normal to shed hair every day. While wearing braided extensions, naturally shed hairs can stay caught around the attachment areas instead of falling away.
When the extensions are removed, those accumulated hairs are released together, which can make it look like you’re losing more hair than you actually are.
You may also notice small white bulbs at the ends of some hairs or a little scalp buildup that can look similar to dandruff.
06How long do the extensions last?+
A Reborn installation typically lasts 2–3 months, depending on your natural hair, lifestyle, and care routine.
07Can I shampoo and wear a ponytail?+
Yes. Reborn extensions are shampoo-friendly and ponytail-friendly, so they can move naturally with everyday life.
08Can the hair be reused?+
Yes. The 100% human hair may be reused up to three times when its condition is suitable. We’ll check it at your maintenance appointment.
09What is included in the extension price?+
U-Tip extension pricing includes premium human hair and professional installation. Tax, gratuity, and any applicable card surcharge are separate.
